Elk voorzien van 1x E27 fitting voor lamp tot max. 60W - kan probleemloos vervangen worden door een LED-lamp.
Voorzien van een aan/uit-schakelaar ingebed in de technische behuizing onderaan.

Very neat finish with invisible wiring when hanging.
Each equipped with 1x E27 fitting for a lamp up to max. 60W - can be easily replaced by an LED lamp.
Equipped with an on/off switch embedded in the technical housing at the bottom.
Earthed.
In perfect working condition.
Very good overall condition: covers intact, except for a small scratch at the top of one of them. Some harmless signs of wear on the switch (see detailed photo in slide show).
Fit into any contemporary interior, including the Hollywood Regency style. Nice diffused light.

"SWAG" hanglamp van Paul Decon voor Sompex

Ontwerp uit de vroege jaren '70.
Bestaat uit een structuur in kleurloos plexiglas (ook Lucite, of acryl, ... genoemd) elementen, met elkaar verbonden door in een kunstig  patroon strak opgespannen nylon draden.  Daardoor oogt de lamp zeer luchtig wanneer ze uit is en wordt bij het branden een mooi lijnenspel op plafond en/of muren gecreëerd.  Verchroomd aansluitingsbuisje.
Opnieuw bedraad en voorzien van aardleiding. In perfect werkende staat. Voorzien van E27 fitting voor (gloei)lamp tot max. 60W.  Wij hebben er een decoratieve  LED-lamp in geplaatst.

"SWAG" PENDANT LAMP BY PAUL DECON FOR SOMPEX 

Design from the early 1970s.
Consists of a structure in colorless Plexiglas (also called Lucite, or acrylic, ...) elements connected by nylon threads stretched tightly in an artistic pattern. As a result, the lamp looks very airy when it is off and when lit, a beautiful interplay of lines is created on the ceiling and/or walls. Chrome-plated connection tube.
Rewired and earthed. In perfect working condition.
Equipped with E27 fitting for (incandescent) bulb up to max. 60W.
We have placed a decorative LED lamp in it.

BUTLERSPIEGEL

Butlerspiegels ontstonden in Engeland, halfweg de 18° eeuw.  Toen het geloof in heksen wegviel en officieel een einde gesteld werd aan de heksenvervolgingen, was de techniek voor het vervaardigen van mooie spiegelende heksenballen net op haar best.  Zo kwam het dat deze ballen voortaan als pronkstukken opgesteld werden in de betere huizen, ze werden verheven tot statussymbolen. In de tweede helft van de 19° eeuw werden ze ook op strategische plaatsen neergezet, op vazen uit spiegelglas, of er werd een steel aan gezet, ten behoeve van de butlers.   Door in de ballen te kijken konden zij van op afstand, op een discrete manier, bijvoorbeeld het verloop van een maaltijd volgen en hun meesters dienen wanneer dat gewenst was.  De volgende stap, bij het einde van het Victoriaanse tijdperk, wat samenviel met het eerste deel van de Belle Epoque op het Europese continent, was dat uit extreem grote gespiegelde ballen (vooral vervaardigd in Frankrijk en Italië) de “bolkap” uitgesneden werd en in een glamoureuze vergulde lijst gezet, om dan op een strategische plaats op te hangen: de butlerspiegel.

Deze spiegel verkeert in zeer mooie, gerestaureerde staat.
Het originele antieke convexe spiegelglas zit in een vergulde/gepatineerde geprofileerde houten lijst met plaasteren parelrand. De achterzijde bestaat uit drie massieve eikenhouten planken.

BUTLER’S MIRROR

Butler’s mirrors originated in England in the mid-18th century.
When the belief in witches fell away and the witch persecutions were officially ended, the technique for making beautiful mirrored witch balls was just at its best. From then on these balls were set up as showpieces in the better houses, they were elevated to status symbols. In the second half of the 19th century, they were also placed in strategic places, mounted on mirror glass vases or on a handle, for the benefit of the butlers. By looking into the reflective balls they could remotely, in a discreet way, for example follow the course of a meal and serve their masters when desired. The next step, at the end of the Victorian era, which coincided with the first part of the Belle Epoque on the European continent, was that from extremely large mirrored balls (made mainly in France and Italy) a large "spherical cap" was cut out and placed into a glamorous gilded frame, to be hung in a strategic place: the butler's mirror.
The mirror offered is in very nice, restored condition.
The original antique convex mirror glass is placed in a partly gilded/patinated profiled wooden frame with a plaster pearl rim. The rear consists of three solid oak planks.
Overall diameter: 45 cm. Frame thickness: 5cm

“CHAR D'ANVERS OU D'ALBERT ET ISABELLE - 21 JUILLET 1856" 

Deze litho maakte oorspronkelijk deel uit van een boek van A.Van Hasselt, uitgegeven in Brussel in 1856. Het bracht verslag uit van de feestelijkheden in Brussel van 21 t/m 23 juli 1856, naar aanleiding van de 25° verjaardag van de troonsbestijging van Koning Leopold I, tevens allereerste “Nationale Feestdag”.
De provincie Antwerpen reed in de stoet de praalwagen van Albrecht en Isabella voor, ontworpen door J. Franquart voor de begrafenis van Albrecht in Brussel in 1623.
Plaat gedrukt door Simonau & Toovey, Brussel. Met de hand ingekleurd.
Afm. litho (zonder kader): B 50,5 x H 32,5 cm
Enkele lichte ouderdomsvlekjes in het papier. Rijke, originele kader met merken op de rugzijde.

“CHAR D'ANVERS OU D'ALBERT ET ISABELLE - 21 JUILLET 1856" 

This lithograph was originally part of a book by A.Van Hasselt, published in Brussels in 1856. It reported on the festivities in Brussels from 21 to 23 July 1856, on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the accession of King Leopold I. In the historical procession on June 21st, the province of Antwerp showed the ancient coach of Governors Albrecht (VII of Austria) and his wife Isabella (of Spain), designed by J. Franquart of Brussels on occasion of Albrecht's funeral in Brussels in 1623.
